SOME DAYS THIS TOWN MAKES IT NEAR IMPOSSIBLE TO FALL INTO LOVE. IT SHAPES US, AND SEPARATES US WITH WALLS WE CAN’T BREAK THROUGH. FROM THE HONKING HORNS, TO THE CROWDED STREETS, IT’S LIKE A BATTLEFIELD ALL AGAINST ME. BUT, THAT ALL CHANGED THE NIGHT I MET YOU.
Wiley Chandler is a true artist with a passion for music, and more importantly it’s meaning. His songs are sincere and engaging coming from a deep place; and his unique style on guitar is as much a part of his sound as his emotive voice. Organic creativity is something Chandler relies on while writing and recording, saying it’s found when “The music feels like the words, the words feels like the melody, the melody feels like it belongs with the music, and it all comes together to move you.” That thought certainly translates in his new EP, We Both Know The Truth Is.
Sharing the stage with some of music’s biggest stars, Wiley Chandler has established a notable resume, gaining fans across genres as the opening act for the likes of James Taylor, Kings of Leon, Keith Urban, Vince Gill, The Fray, Ryan Adams, and The Avett Brothers among others. Find Wiley at one of his upcoming shows and connect with an authentic artist, entertainer and storyteller that will give you all the reasons you need to be a fan.
His ability to affect audiences can be found throughout his work. From the heartfelt & poignant Living In A Lullaby, to the thoughtful & timeless Take Away, the intimate We Never Do, and the illuminated up-tempo Run With The Night, this strong collection of new material stays close to the organic place it came from. When Chandler talks about writing he says, “I’m drawing inspiration from my life, from history, from movies, from books… from everything I see and hear.” and on creating a sound that is all his own, “I think it’s my desire for greatness. I know I’m not there yet, and I hope I never think I am, but I’ll always be trying.”
“WHILE WRITING, ‘RUN WITH THE NIGHT’, I WAS TRYING TO CAPTURE THE ESSENCE OF THE POET JOSHUA BENNETT WHEN HE IS RECITING HIS PIECE TITLED, ‘CHARIOT’. IT PAINTS A BEAUTIFUL PICTURE OF HOW EASY IT IS TO FORGET THAT ALL OF THE DISTRACTIONS AROUND US MIGHT MEAN SO MUCH MORE WHEN WE LOOK AT THEM FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE. “

WILEY CHANDLER EXPLORES HIS INSPIRATION AND THE MAKING OF
The new EP We Both Know The Truth Is
Run With The Night was influenced by the city; the way the honking horns, crowded streets, and flashing lights create their own kind of energy. Some days, it feels like they might not ever let you rise above the noise, but when you find someone to give you a different perspective, those very same things start to feel like they’ve composed a symphony just for you; and for new love.
TONIGHT, YOU AND I, WE CAN OWN THIS TOWN.WE CAN MAKE IT COME ALIVE. THE FIRE IN YOUR EYES LIGHTS UP THE NIGHT LIKE STARS IN A HAZEL SKY. I DON’T CARE IF NO ONE KNOWS BUT YOU AND I. WE CAN RUN WITH THE NIGHT.
